ABSTRACT
This contribution is divided in two parts: in part A) we list building components which might be found in Italian landscape, with characteristics which are always different case by case, while in part B) we examine the damages which might derive from their defects to the health and safety of the population who lives in territories either highly populated or not, but in any case constitute a part of the outdoor architectural estate.
In part A) we examine the performances (A.0) of the various building components which, in hypothesis, might have their front exposed to the open (A.1), in the belief that their preservation might be much easier if we prevent their constructive defects (A.2) and if we are more strict while evaluating their maintenance works (A.3).
In part B) we stress the fact that the defects of outdoor buildings of old age necessarily involve risks for the health and safety of the people who live therein (for instance due to collapses, failures in pavements of public transit, excessive humidity in the environment – either natural and artificial -, pollution, etc.).
Key words: errors – damages – responsible – safety – health.
