ABSTRACT
The restoration of the park of Villa Carpegna at Rome, which concludes interventions on the Villa, throws light on predominance of damages caused of human actions, rather than environmental factors. In particular plasters of staircases of XVIIIth century and of the fountains were damaged during restoration daily with “graffiti” made by writers, besides breaks of iron and travertine furnitures. We had decide to carry out a strategy of information and surveillance and on damaged plasters two coats of MAPEI products were spread (Mape –Antique Rinzaffo and Mape-Antique MC), to consent to safeguard the same plasters, with other additives.
