ABSTRACT
The renewal of the medieval monastic architecture of the building during the Renaissance period didn't arrive to complete the façade. Despite the construction of the vault by which derives the elevation of a new part of the front between 1720 and 1735, the building still remains without a resolution till the project of the second half of the XX century.
During this work, part of the mortars in the joints between the stones had been removed in order to display the different textures of the walls.
After a few decades, the decay of such exposed stones is heavy.
In this contribution it is explained how the recent conservation project tried to slow down the stone decay with the repair of the texture in order to preserve it.
