ABSTRACT
The singularity of Sardinian landscapes is marked with obvious forms by the archaeological remains,
inserted between the natural elements to form a unicum, without parallel, and now gives back a rooted
balanceandveryvulnerable.Werestricttheanalysistosignificantandaccessiblemonuments.
A predominance of monuments of nuraghic age, the megalithic constructions stand out in a constructive
strenght,oftenattackedbyfactorsofdegradation,thecauseofwhichisrootedinthehistoryofthediscovery,
inthelackofmaintenanceandsometimesinthevalueenhancement.
On the specific issue the methodological investigation and the study of conservation, to adopt compatible
solutions,shouldbeurgentlypursued.
The choises for the boundaries of monuments and archaeological sites have considerable importance for the
preventiveconservationandremedialconservationandfortherelationshipwiththelandscape.
About the city-ports the separation of historical persistence and contemporary cities multiplies the problems
ofconservation.
Aboutmonumentsthecontextsarereflectedontheneedsofpreservationandrestoration.
In the field of archeology the indissoluble relationship between the preservation, restoration, excavation and
exploitationshouldnotbeseparated.
The task of identifying priorities is left to the strategy of the planning and design of preservation, also in
accordance with the expectations of the social community, which recognizes in the monuments the sources
ofidentity.
